Arjeplog's autumn market was held 5-7 October during Sami culture week that was held 1-7 October 2018. The entry was free to the popular Silver Museum where you can see much interesting local and Sami culture, art and handicraft. In addition, Sami Culture Week offered daily activities from Jojkworkshop, lasso throwing to different lectures.
The autumn market started quietly on friday with sleet on the ground but with lovely sunshine, market visitors started slowly drop in to take a look among all market stalls and to meet acquaintances from close and far away who come to visit the autumn market and Sami cultural week. Among all the stalls you could find various things to buy from Sami handicraft to reindeer skin shoes to carved coffe cups of wood called "kåsa". A few stalls even served local delicacies as "Suovas" that is sliced smoked reindeer beef.
